Map: Algonquin Gas Transmission Ramapo Expansion Project

Algonquin Gas Transmission, LLC (“Algonquin”) proposes to construct and operate one new 37,700 horsepower (“HP”) compressor station in Oxford, Connecticut, add an additional 41,110 HP at three existing stations in New York and New Jersey, and upgrade an existing unit at one of the existing compressor stations in New York from 12,600 HP to 15,000 HP. Algonquin also proposes minor pipe replacements on the West side of its existing Hudson River Crossing and piping modifications at two existing interconnects. Algonquin also proposes a new delivery point in Brookfield Connecticut.

The Algonquin Ramapo Expansion Project will provide transportation capacity to facilitate transportation of new supply from the reconfigured Millennium Pipeline Project for Consolidated Edison of New York and KeySpan Energy Delivery. The Algonquin Ramapo Expansion Project will provide the New York natural gas market specifically and the New England market generally with additional access to natural gas supplies from traditional production sources attached to the natural gas pipeline grid in the U.S. and Canada, as well as local production and storage in New York.

The facilities are anticipated to be in service in November 2008.
