Map: Pine River De-Bottleneck and Looping Project

Spectra Energy Transmission West is currently upgrading its Pine River facility in NE British Columbia to support increased quantities of natural gas being processed there. This includes the construction of a 17 kilometre pipeline which will be parallel to an existing pipeline. This project will add approximately 40 million cubic feet per day of additional pipeline capacity, helping to meet the growing need for natural gas. As part of the project, an existing de-activated pipeline will be removed and replaced with a new pipe. This project is slated for completion in November 2008.
