Moss Bluff Hub, LLC (Moss Bluff) received approval from the Texas Railroad Commission to develop and operate a 4th salt storage cavern (Moss Bluff Cavern #4) at the existing Moss Bluff Storage Facility. Moss Bluff Cavern #4 will provide an incremental 6.5 Bcf of working gas capacity, increasing the total working gas capacity at the facility to 21.5 Bcf. Additional facilities include: a 2.55-mile, 30-inch diameter header, additional gas handling facilities, an upgrade to the existing Natural Gas Pipeline Company (NGPL) meter and regulation (M&R) station. Moss Bluff is located on the Moss Bluff salt dome in south-central Liberty County, Texas. The completion of Moss Bluff Cavern #4 will increase our ability to provide firm storage services and interruptible hub services to customers, helping meet the demand for storage in this region. With construction underway, the facilities are expected to be completed in 2010 and the cavern in-service by 3rd Quarter 2011.
