The Dawn Storage Deliverability project which is being built to meet the needs of Ontario’s new Gas Fired Powers plants and other market participants includes the development of 11 new storage wells and related gathering lines and the addition of up to 47,000 hp of natural gas compression at Union’s Dawn storage facility in southwestern Ontario. The Dawn storage facility is the largest underground natural gas storage facility in Canada, and one of the largest in North America, featuring more than one hundred and fifty billion cubic feet of high deliverability storage. The Dawn Hub offers premium storage and transportation services for customers in Ontario, Quebec and the US Northeast. Upon completion in the fall of 2008, this expansion will increase Union's deliverability capacity by 485 million cubic feet a day.
