U.S. Gas Transmission

Spectra Energy’s U.S. natural gas operations include more than 13,500 miles of interstate transmission pipeline and approximately 115 billion cubic feet of storage capacity.

Our pipelines receive natural gas from the major producing areas of the Gulf Coast and Canada for transportation and sale primarily in the Mid-Atlantic and northeastern United States.

Western Canada Transmission and Processing

Our western Canadian portfolio, the largest processing business in Canada, includes four distinct businesses that are strategically located to connect western Canadian natural gas supply sources with growing Canadian and U.S. markets.

Union Gas

Union Gas specializes in the sale and delivery of natural gas to homes, businesses and industries as well as the storage and transportation of gas for other utilities and companies.

  • Serves more than 1.3 million customers in 400 communities
  • Transmission system, including storage and gathering, is 4,100 miles (6,600 kilometers) long.
  • At 150 billion cubic feet, Union Gas’ storage facilities are the largest in Canada.

DCP Midstream

  • Gathers, treats, compresses, processes, transports, markets and stores natural gas
  • Produces, fractionates, transports, trades and markets natural gas liquids (NGLs).

DCP Midstream is one of the nation’s largest natural gas gatherers, largest NGL producer and one of the largest NGL marketers, and was formed through the joint venture of Spectra Energy and ConocoPhillips’ natural gas gathering and processing businesses.
