Westcoast Investments in Safety and the Environment (WISE) Grants
We are responsive to the needs and interests of the communities we operate in.
To mark the 50th anniversary of our operations in Western Canada, Spectra Energy Transmission established funding for 50 grants, in the amount of $1,000 each, to support unique local projects in British Columbia focused on improving safety or the environment.
Stewardship is one of our company’s core values in conducting our business. It is therefore fitting that, in celebrating our 50th anniversary, we engaged in partnerships that enhanced public environmental, health and safety awareness.
Our Westcoast Investments in Safety and the Environment (WISE) grants support improved community and school safety, enhancement of open spaces, park land or wildlife habitat and/or environment, and safety education programs. The $1,000 grants were awarded based on community need, competitive use of funds, and the recipient organization’s ability to complete the projects as proposed, and are applied to local projects where Spectra Energy Transmission operates.
