Platte Pipeline

The 933-mile Platte Pipeline transports up to 164,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil from Casper, Wyoming, to Guernsey, Wyoming, and 145,000 bpd from Guernsey to Wood River, Illinois.

The Platte pipeline brings crude oil predominantly from the Bakken, the Denver-Julesburg Basin and the Powder River Basin to refiners in the Midwest, and is accompanied by 34 storage tanks (2.9 MMBbls total capacity) that provide flexibility on shipment timing and product mix. Flow through the pipeline is boosted by 19 pump stations with 64,000 horsepower.
