Spectra Energy Partners

Spectra Energy Partners, LP (NYSE: SEP) is a Houston-based master limited partnership, formed by Spectra Energy Corp (NYSE: SE).

Spectra Energy Partners is one of the largest MLPs in the United States and owns interests in pipeline and storage facilities that connect growing supply areas to high-demand markets for natural gas and crude oil.

These assets include more than 15,000 miles of transmission pipelines, 170 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage and approximately 5.6 million barrels of crude oil storage.

Our natural gas storage and transportation assets generate steady cash flows, primarily backed by long-term contracts. Our crude oil pipelines have annual rate escalators that further enhance our favorable cash generation profile.

All of our business is fee-based, and more than 90 percent of our assets' revenues come from fees that reserve capacity on our pipelines and in our storage facilities. This profile supports steady cash flows and minimizes our exposure to commodity price swings.

Spectra Energy Partners assets reach across the U.S. to virtually all major supply basins and link us to key growth markets. Our ability to deliver growth and investor value is anchored by our quality assets, record of operational excellence, strong balance sheet, ample liquidity, and the support of our general partner, Spectra Energy.

Our Strategic Approach

Our strategy is to create superior and sustainable value for our investors, customers, employees and communities by delivering natural gas, liquids, and crude oil infrastructure to premium markets. We will grow our business through organic growth, greenfield expansions, and strategic acquisitions with a focus on safety, reliability and customer responsiveness and profitability.

We intend to accomplish this by:

  • Building off the strength of our asset base
  • Maximizing that base through sector leading operations and service
  • Effectively executing the projects we have secured
  • Securing new growth opportunities that add value for our investors within each of our business segments
  • Expanding our value chain participation into complementary infrastructure assets

Being A Reliable Partner

Spectra Energy Partners is committed to being a reliable partner for our investors, customers, the communities in our service area, and the environment. In addition to conducting safe and dependable operations, we are a conscientious steward of our unitholders' investments and an engine for sustainable growth.

With a portfolio of strategic assets and stable cashflows, Spectra Energy Partners is prepared to fully participate in North America's expanding natural gas, crude oil and liquids markets, execute on organic growth, pursue attractive acquisitions, and strengthen and sustain unitholder value.
