Spectra Energy also has a 50 percent ownership in DCP Midstream, LLC, which is the general partner of DCP Midstream, LP (NYSE: DCP), the largest natural gas liquids producer and the largest natural gas processor in the United States, and the largest gathering and processing master limited partnership in the United States. U.S Transmission, which is owned by our master limited partnership, Spectra Energy Partners, transports about 15 percent of the natural gas consumed in the United States and has a storage capacity of about 300 billion cubic feet per day.

Our Western Canada segment is the number one gatherer, processor and pipeline operator in British Columbia, accounting for 60 percent of the gathering and processing activity in the province.

We also participate in North America’s rapidly expanding crude oil infrastructure market via our Liquids business, which operates the Express Pipeline and Platte Pipeline systems, moving crude oil from Western Canada to the Midwest.
