Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
Greg Ebel is chairman, president and chief executive officer of Spectra Energy Corp. He also is chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of Spectra Energy Partners and a board member of DCP Midstream. He was named a director of The Mosaic Company in 2012.
He previously served as chief financial officer of Spectra Energy, and before that as president of Union Gas, Spectra Energy's major natural gas utility company.
Ebel has broad experience in both the finance and energy sectors. He served as Duke Energy's vice president of investor and shareholder relations from 2002 to 2005 and prior to that, was managing director of mergers and acquisitions. He began his career as an analyst with Decima Research in Toronto in 1987.
He received a bachelor of arts degree from York University, Toronto, Ontario and is a graduate of the advanced management program at the Harvard Business School.
Chief Administrative Officer
Dorothy Ables is chief administrative officer of Spectra Energy Corp, responsible for the company's information technology, audit services, human resources, support services and community relations functions. She also serves on the board of directors of Spectra Energy Partners.
She joined the company in 1985 as a senior financial analyst in investor relations for predecessor company PanEnergy Corp. She has held positions of increasing responsibility including: strategic planning, chief financial officer, information technology, human resources and community relations. Most recently, Ables served as vice president of audit services and as chief ethics and compliance officer.
She received her bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
President, Union Gas Limited
Steve Baker is president of Union Gas, a Spectra Energy company and one of Ontario's largest natural gas utilities.
Prior to becoming president of Union Gas, Baker was vice president and treasurer of Spectra Energy Corp. He was responsible for all financing and capital market activities, interest rate management, liquidity and cash management, and managed Spectra Energy's relationships with our major banks and with the credit rating agencies. He also has served as vice president of business development - storage and transmission for Union Gas. He handled the business development activities for storage and transmission and was also responsible for gas supply acquisition and planning, product and service development, customer support, system planning and capacity management.
Baker is a chartered professional accountant and a certified management accountant. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in honours chartered accountancy studies from the University of Waterloo in 1986 and his Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo in 1987.
President, Canadian LNG
Doug Bloom is president of Spectra Energy’s Canadian LNG business, leading the company’s development efforts related to liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure opportunities in western Canada, including the joint venture between Spectra Energy and BG Group to build a major natural gas system to serve a new LNG facility of Canada’s west coast.
Prior to assuming his current role in 2013, Bloom served as president of Spectra Energy’s western Canadian operations. He joined the company in 1987 as a regulatory affairs supervisor for Westcoast Energy in Vancouver. He has held a series of leadership positions of increasing responsibility including: information technology, regulated businesses and marketing, and president of Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline.
Bloom holds bachelor's and master's degrees in economics, both from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia.
Chief Development Officer
Guy Buckley is chief development officer of Spectra Energy. He leads the company’s project execution, project management, economic evaluation, strategy, and mergers and acquisition efforts. In addition, he oversees Spectra Energy’s liquids business segment.
Buckley joined the company in 1989 and has held a number of leadership positions in the areas of engineering, operations, marketing and project and business development. He previously served as treasurer of Spectra Energy, and as group vice president of corporate development. He was named to his current position in 2014.
Buckley received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from McGill University in Montreal, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Boston University.
Chief Communications Officer
Julie Dill is chief communications officer for Spectra Energy. She is responsible for directing the company’s communications with internal and external audiences, including investors, the media, employees and other stakeholders, and she also oversees Spectra Energy’s sustainability efforts. She serves on the board of directors for Spectra Energy Partners and QEP Resources.
Dill has held a number of executive leadership positions with the company, including: group vice president of strategy; president and chief executive officer of Spectra Energy Partners; president of Union Gas Limited.
Dill received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, summa cum laude, in finance from New Mexico State University. She is also a graduate of the advanced management program at the Harvard Business School.
President, Spectra Energy Transmission West
Mark Fiedorek is president of Spectra Energy Transmission's western Canadian operations, responsible for four of the company’s western-based divisions: BC Pipeline; BC Field Services; Midstream; and Natural Gas Liquids.
He also serves on the board of directors of DCP Midstream Partners. Fiedorek joined the company in 1988 as a supply planning and evaluation analyst for Texas Eastern Transmission and advanced through a number of leadership positions including group vice president of Southeast U.S. Transmission and Storage and vice president of asset optimization and marketer services.
Fiedorek earned his bachelor's degree in managerial studies from Rice University, Houston, Texas. He also completed the Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program.
Reginald Hedgebeth is general counsel and chief ethics and compliance officer for Spectra Energy Corp and general counsel for Spectra Energy Partners. Hedgebeth joined Spectra Energy in March 2009. Prior to joining Spectra Energy, Hedgebeth served as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary with Circuit City Stores, Inc., a role he assumed in 2005. Prior to joining Circuit City, Hedgebeth was vice president of legal for The Home Depot, Inc. He was named a director of The Brink’s Company in 2011.
Hedgebeth is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Penn State University.
Chief Financial Officer
Pat Reddy is chief financial officer of Spectra Energy Corp and serves on the board of DCP Midstream. He also is chief financial officer of Spectra Energy Partners.
Reddy joined Spectra Energy in January 2009. Prior to joining Spectra Energy, Reddy held the position of senior vice president and chief financial officer with Atmos Energy Corporation. He joined Atmos Energy in 1998 and prior to his appointment as chief financial officer served as vice president of corporate development and as treasurer for the company.
Reddy holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California at Los Angeles and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Southern California. Reddy also serves on the board of Paragon Offshore PLC.
President, U.S. Transmission
Bill Yardley is president of Spectra Energy’s U.S. Transmission and Storage business, responsible for the company’s extensive network of natural gas infrastructure across the country. He leads the business development, project execution, operations and environment, health and safety efforts associated with Spectra Energy’s U.S. portfolio of assets. He serves on the board of Spectra Energy Partners.
Yardley joined the company in 2000 as general manager of marketing for Spectra Energy's predecessor company, Duke Energy Gas Transmission. He later served as vice president of marketing and business development and as group vice president of the company’s Northeastern U.S. assets and operations. He was named to his current position in 2013.
Yardley earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Colby College in Waterville, Maine and his master's degree in business administration from Northeastern University in Boston. He also completed the Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program.
